Our Services

Testimonials

“The home is amazing, everything is tailored to child’s needs, he is happy and settled, staff and management are friendly and clearly care about him. Staff let me know and update me on any information.”

Social Worker

The staff have worked along side us at School. Staff have lovely relationships with him, staff introduce themselves to us and keep us informed with everything that happens. The Manager has a really good relationship with us in school, she wants the best for him and has been fully supportive. He is a valued child at Fletcher House, he speaks about what he has done and has good relationships with staff members and Manager. He is happy living there and calls Fletcher House his home – this is a massive breakthrough as previously the word “Home” was a trigger for him.

School

I feel the staff at the home, work hard to keep the child I work with safe; they communicate and encourage the child to be open and honest when we have been completing work around crime and CE. Staff have kept me updated with any incidents or concerns. Since I have been coming to the home the staff have been welcoming and great at communicating with CELLS. Both our office staff and I have great communication with all of the staff on his progress and appointments. I am confident that any concerns I raised would be taken seriously. He also informs me that he has great communication and relationships with the staff. I have witnessed that him gets great support when it comes to his education. Since living at Fletcher House he has made great progress in his attitude.

CELLS project

The homes manager and staff are very committed to him and the other young people. It is an excellent home. Communication is excellent, I am kept informed about all significant events. He is engaging well with his tuition. The Manager and the staff team are excellent, and I couldn’t say enough about them. When I completed an unannounced visit staff were very welcoming.

IRO

I must say that I have never worked with a home that has gone above and beyond for a child like the staff at fletcher house have. You can clearly see that all of the staff care about him and generally want the best outcome for him. Staff communicate well with me and the Social Worker and have trialled different strategies in order to get the best outcome for him.

Social Care Team Manager

Communication with both me and him is really good to ensure he gets the best care. I feel staff work really well understanding his emotional and additional needs. Staff provide amazing activities for him. Staff make sure family time and his needs are met. I feel I could not ask for a better placement for him

Family Member

I was so impressed with the home, Management and the other staff where so welcoming, it felt so homely, I didn’t feel like I was in a children’s home and you are on the ball with his health! Rooms are lovely, couldn’t speak more highly, my first impression was totally young people first.

CLA Nurse

I have always told him that he is in one of the best homes I have been in my many years of working with children as a Looked after Children social worker. The home is clean, smart and tidy all the time. It gives the children there a homely environment. He is very happy living in Fletcher house and does not wish to be moved elsewhere. He is a very complex child but they have supported him very well and he is making very good progress. They are the best staff I have come across in my many years of social work.

Social Worker

When considering children, we recognise that due to previous abuse, trauma and neglect some children may have developed vulnerabilities and maladaptive coping strategies that reflect additional risk.

This may present as:

  • Vulnerability to child exploitation
  • Substance misuse
  • Self-injurious behaviour
  • Attachment disorders
  • Violence and aggression

We will consider all referrals of children who fall into the above categories however we will not place children who:

  • With physical disabilities which do not allow them to access the bedrooms on the second floor.
  • Serious Mental Health Issues (requiring specialist psychiatric interventions)
  • Drug and alcohol dependency.

Our latest Ofsted Inspection judged the home to be ‘Good’ in all areas.
